How to shut off water to toilets and faucets

Each  fixture should have it’s own water shut off valve associated with it. We call those “angle stops”.
  1. If you notice your toilet leaking, the valve would be behind the toilet. Turn it clockwise and this should turn the water off to the toilet.

  2. If you notice a faucet is leaking, look under your sink. There should be a small valve that rotates clockwise and should shut off water to that specific fixture.

  3. If you do not see valves connected to those faucets or fixtures, we recommend turning off your main water and calling Grant & Sons or a licensed plumber immediately.

  4. If your shower or bathtub is leaking, call Grant & Sons or a licensed plumber to remedy the problem.
